Annual Returns

Alberta corporations are required to file an annual return with the Alberta Government stating who the shareholders of the corporation are. These returns have nothing to do with income taxes, however Every Bean Counts provides this service to it’s clients upon request. Annual returns are typically sent by Alberta Finance to the registered business address of a corporation on the anniversary date of their incorporation or registration. Failing to file these returns for two years in a row will cause a corporation to be involuntarily dissolved, and the company will need to be revived through Alberta Registries. Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) Payment Plans

If you are behind on filing your tax returns or paying your tax instalments and balances owing, the Canada Revenue Agency may take further action against you. This may include: withholding tax refunds and GST credits, garnishing your wages, taking funds from your bank account, or placing a lien on any real property that you own.
